Yes, 100% done in Microsoft Paint. Not a single hint of another program in it, down to the 1 px border around him.
I'm proud of this, I was inspired by an earlier deviation, The picture of Alpse, and I though to myself "Hey, lets see if you can do it again!" Eventually, I urged myself to go for it.

Took 12 1/2 hours, 9 hours for the picture, 3 1/2 hours for the background (mainly the glow around him)
